Read Easy volunteer groups support local adults who want to learn to read or improve their reading skills, at their own pace and without pressure. The group provides trained Volunteer Reading Coaches to work on a confidential 1:1 basis to help adults learn to read.

    Read Easy provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults. The Coordinator is the first point of contact for those who want to learn to read and provides ongoing support to readers and coaches. The role is very flexible and is home-based, so works well with other commitments.

  • Reading Coach with Read Easy

    Read Easy provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading, through a network of volunteer groups. As a reading coach you will help adult readers develop their literacy skills. No experience is needed as full training will be given.

  • Publicity Organiser with Read Easy Leicester and District

    Read Easy provides free, confidential, one to-one reading coaching for adults who struggle with reading. The Publicity Organiser will raise awareness of the work, publicise how local people can get the reading support they need, and how volunteers can help.

    The Coordinator is central to the running of each Read Easy group; it's often described as the best job in the Team! The Coordinator makes initial contact with anyone who wants to improve their basic reading skills, informally assesses them and pairs them up with a trained Volunteer Reading Coach.
