Team Members are adult volunteers who assist the group in delivering a programme to young people in Scouting. Volunteering with young people who are gaining skills for life is incredibly rewarding and Scouting is also lots of fun!

About this role

The 9th Leicester Scout Group was formed in 1909 and provides Scouting opportunities for children from the ages of 6 years old up to 25 years old across the South East of Leicester.

We are looking for adult leaders for all of our sections at 9th Leicester:

Beavers: 6 – 8 years old – Tues 6.00pm – 7.15pm
Cubs: 8 – 10.5 years old – Weds 6.30pm-8.00pm
Scouts: 10.5 – 14 years old – Mon 7.00pm – 8.45pm

All sections are open to boys and girls of all faiths and cultures. The 9th Leicester Scout Group is an ‘open group’, which means we are not sponsored and are not attached to any particular church.  Members are encouraged to follow their own faiths. We have our Scout Hut, Croft Hall, at 58 Stoughton Road, Leicester

All groups run games and activities/programmes as part of weekly section meetings and help young people to achieve badges and awards. We also go on day trips and weekend camps.
