The Children and Family Centres in Charnwood provide early help services to children (0-19yrs) and their families. We have many volunteering opportunities, including: running children group, mentoring young people, supporting parent, running community fridge and many more.

  • Stay & Play Leader Volunteer

    Opportunity by Children and Family Wellbeing Service in Charnwood

    To run weekly activities in line with the EYFS for Children 0-5yrs. The role includes: set up the room; interact with the children and parents; help with communication, language, physical, emotional, social development; work as part of a team; listen/respond to children and families' voices.

  • Children and Young People Mentor Volunteer

    Opportunity by Children and Family Wellbeing Service in Charnwood

    The role is to provide mentoring support to a young person (aged 8-18 years). It includes: create a positive mentoring relationship between yourself and the young person; offer them advise, assist, support, motivation so as to help them in developing skills & attitudes towards positive lifestyle

  • Staff-led Group Volunteer

    Opportunity by Children and Family Wellbeing Service in Charnwood

    This role is essentially about supporting Worker/Professional when they deliver group work e.g. Pathway, Solihull Parenting, Triple Ps. It involves supporting the Worker; play with children, role modelling play, language, interaction with the children and parents; room set-up and clear-up, etc.
