About this role
Why volunteer for The Bridge? There are a hundred reasons.
Maybe you’ve known someone suffer without help, or perhaps you’re tired of seeing the same new stories about homelessness? Join us and you can help change lives. Everyone at The Bridge has heaps of energy and positivity, and we are lucky to say we start every day knowing we can make a difference to local people. We are a small charity, but we’re also a close-knit family that’s organised, focussed, and driven.
We are looking for a volunteer to help out within our busy Housing Triage team. As an integral part of the organisation, you will provide support which will include answering and directing telephone calls, sending email messages to the specialist teams within the organisation, assisting with enquiries received via our website, and managing our customer email inbox.
From day one you’ll receive all the training you need, to enable you to assist our Triage team in changing other people’s lives for the better.
We are consistently striving to develop our services to achieve our vision of resilient, compassionate communities, where individuals thrive in safe and secure homes. We hold our services to the highest possible standard and are very proud of our track record in preventing and relieving homelessness.
An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is required for this post.
We take safeguarding of our clients seriously; therefore, you will be expected to demonstrate that you understand current safeguarding practices and agree to adhere to these practices within the role.
