The Role: Volunteer Food Packaging Assistant

Location: Onsite: x2 days a week

Your role will operate at b inspired’s Neighbourhood Support Base at this address:

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and apply accurate labels  to all food products ready for food sharers
  • Organise the food produce and handwrite the correct dates on the tins
  • Check labels for correct information and remove any out of date items
  • Ensure food products are properly packaged to maintain quality and freshness

Responsible to: Foodshare Coordinator

Support & Supervision

You will be given an induction at the start of your volunteering and will also receive regular one-to-one support sessions with b inspired’s Communications Worker. This is an opportunity to ask any questions and discuss any concerns you might have.

Support and advice will be offered ‘on the job’ and you may be given the opportunity to take part in formal training, as part of your development in your volunteering role.
