About this role
This is not a care role, this is a friend role
- Supporting and guiding care experienced 16-25 year old young people.
- Helping the young people learn to live more independently as they begin to leave care.
- Meeting with them for social activities, such as going to a museum, bowling, shopping etc. or just simply going for a walk.
- Listening to them and offering advice when they need it.
- Teaching them new life skills, such as money management, housekeeping, cooking etc.
- Just chatting to them about everyday life.
- Helping them improve their social skills.
- Developing your own skills or even learning some new ones.
We are looking for friendly, enthusiastic people to join us!
We offer a flexible schedule, based around your availability and willingness to volunteer.
No previous experience is needed as we offer full training for the role and support you throughout your time with us.
There are plenty of opportunities to undertake additional training and there are possibilities of moving around within the company.
This is an unpaid role but we do cover travel expense where applicable.
This is a fun role, where your help can really transform a young person’s life!
