About this role
Mountsorrel United Charities and the Mountsorrel Community Support Fund are two separately registered charities that have a joint board of trustees. Anyone appointed as a trustee is therefore a trustee of both these charities, together with the linked Charity of Hugh Phipps (now part of the Community Support Fund).
Mountsorrel United Charities is an umbrella organisation whose sole function is to distribute funds between three other charities:
- Mountsorrel Community Support Fund
- Mountsorrel Educational Fund
- Mountsorrel Church of England Fund
Mountsorrel Community Support Fund is a grant-giving charity helping people in Mountsorrel who are in need. We help by providing and paying for items such as household appliances, furniture, clothing, mobility equipment and many other items and services that will help to improve the quality of life for people who cannot afford to pay for these items themselves. The charity also gives occasional grants to organisations that provide services to local people who are in need.
