About this role

Norton Housing and Support (NH&S) is a Leicester based charity and small housing association which provides supported accommodation for adults with mental health needs and women at risk of homelessness.

Develop our vision

Our Board of Trustees set the direction of NH&S, oversee the finances and service delivery to make sure we keep on track. They are also involved in our big projects such as new developments and fundraising.

If you would like to get involved with a dynamic organisation with an excellent track record and help to continue to develop our vision for the future, we’d love to hear from you!

Our values

Our values can be summarised by the following words:

• Person-centred

• Empowers

• Partnership

• Integrity

• Respect

• Inclusive

We put Service Users at the heart of everything we do and are constantly improving the quality of our service based on their feedback.

The Role

The role of the Board is to be an effective, governing body which provides leadership for our activities and performance. Trustees are individually responsible for contributing to our strategic direction.

Board meetings take place 6 weekly either at our Leicester office or online, generally on a Thursday from 4.30pm.

Trustee positions are voluntary but out of pocket expenses can be reimbursed.
