About this role
One of three officers (Chair/Treasurer/Secretary) leading a team of volunteer committee members
to deliver the aims of Ashby Arts Festival as set out in the constitution.
The position is held for one year minimum or longer, subject to re-election at each AGM.
1. Oversee the financial affairs of the organisation and with other officers and committee
members ensure the financial viability of the organisation.
2. Monitoring and reporting on the financial health of the organisation:
a. Undertaking bookkeeping duties
b. Regularly report the financial position at committee meetings
c. Producing of any necessary financial reports/accounts
3. Appraising the financial viability of event proposals with the committee
4. Support committee members in the development and management of sponsorship and
grant applications and awards
5. Ensure proper records are kept including:
a. Monitoring of the Bank Account and reconciliation of statements
b. Managing Cheque signatories
c. Overseeing petty cash/ float
d. Arranging payments to creditors for bills and expenses
e. Make the necessary arrangements to collect payments from debtors and depositing
money in the bank promptly
