About this role
Time for a Treat is a Volunteer based service that offers Hand massage and Manicures to patients on our wards. This is an invaluable service that helps enhance the mental and physical well-being of our patients. Our Volunteers are warm, friendly, compassionate and enjoy pampering our patients to help brighten their day.
Are you a warm, friendly individual who likes to help others? Can you offer some of your time to talk to and treat our patients to help them feel good about themselves? Volunteer Induction training and Role specific training will be provided.
Please note that we ask volunteers to commit to a regular timeslot, 1 day a week (usually 3 hours) and to commit at least 6 months’ of their time to volunteering.

Requirements
- References needed
- Willing to take a DBS Check
- Age restrictions
Excellent communication skills
Able to show compassion and empathy towards patients
Must have a genuine desire to help others
Understands the importance of confidentiality
Able to follow guidelines and Infection Prevention measures
Smart appearance and able to maintain good standards of hygiene
DBS clearance required
Aged 16 years or above
