About this role
We need Telephone Volunteers to contact lonely people in the Hinckley & Bosworth and surrounding areas
Before the Covid 19 crisis all volunteers were provided with training in Safeguarding, Communications and Signposting. However, under the present situation help and support is provided throughout in these areas. All volunteers will need to be over the age of 18. If you have a DBS certificate this speeds up the application however it is not essential. We will make the arrangements and pay the cost for the checks. Successful candidates will be expected to call Befriendees on a regular basis. We work closely with Local Area Coordinators in Social Services and Social Prescribers in the NHS.
