The Trust have a surgery in Oadby every Tuesday. Due to increasing demand we are looking for an additional team member to meet to support clients with debt advise. Previous experience of this is essential.

About this role

Helping Hands Community Trust has been operating for 25 years, providing free advice services mainly within the Oadby & Wigston area.

Over recent years the breadth of services being offered has increased in response to the needs of the community. Some of this growth has been as a result of partnership working with other agencies in the community

The aim for the Trust is to make the services it provides as accessible as possible to residents and therefore formally working with organisations such as Foodbanks and Primary Care Networks (PCNs) helps to achieve this.

Helping Hands operates a drop in surgery at Wigston URC every Thursday (10am to 3pm). We have a team of experienced advisors covering topics including benefits, debt, housing and employment matters. We are looking for a volunteer receptionist who can help the team look after the clients and process their details

Prior debt advising is ideally a requirement, further training will be provided.
