Role Description
POST: P3 Support Buddy Volunteer
LOCATION: Various
RESPONSIBLE TO: Service Manager
PURPOSE OF ROLE: To assist the Mental health recovery and navigation service.
COMMITMENT: To be discussed at the interview
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
To be part of a compassionate team that provides excellent support to people with mental health support needs.
To support the advice and navigation team by making initial calls to clients who have been referred to the service and other duties to be agreed. .
To accompany mental health recovery workers both in the office and the community to provide support to the people we work alongside.
To provide a welcoming and helpful approach to the people, we work alongside into the office environment.
To provide some basic administration duties as agreed with the service manager or senior support worker.

To be resourceful with the ability to research opportunities based on individual clients circumstances and interests
To understand the values of P3 and demonstrate a genuine commitment to supporting clients with multiple and complex needs
To share P3’s commitment to safeguarding and promote the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults who may be at risk of harm
To comply fully with P3’s Policies
To have the skills to build a one to one rapport
To have a welcoming and polite approach
To be supportive helpful and nurturing
To be patient calm and inclusive
To report any causes for concern regarding the welfare of the client to Supervisor immediately
To understand confidentiality and demonstrate a practical understanding of safeguarding boundaries
To be punctual and reliable
To adhere to the contents of the Volunteer Agreement
