About this role

Can you spare 2 hours a week to support our stay & play sessions which run at a Family Hub.

We’re currently looking to recruit in the following localities: Hinckley & Bosworth, Northwest Leicestershire, Harborough and Melton.

This role includes contributing to planning sessions, setting up creative and engaging activities for 0–5-year-olds and is part of our Start for Life commitment within our Family Hubs offer.

The role of the Stay and Play volunteer is to:

  • set up the room to be inviting and engaging
  • plan weekly activities and host the group
  • interact with the children and parents
  • help clear room up after session and evaluate its impact
  • listen and respond to the voices of the children and their families

Full training is provided, mileage is reimbursed, no previous experience necessary.

This role is within the Family Help Team at Leicestershire County Council
