Team Members are adult volunteers who assist the group in delivering the programme to young people in Scouting. It’s a great feeling knowing you’re helping young people get skills for life, and you might even learn a lot about yourself along the way.

About this role

Age groups: We have 5 different age groups as follows
Squirrels – 4 – 6 years old
Beavers: 6 – 8 years old
Cubs: 8 – 10.5 years old
Scouts: 10.5 – 14 years old
Explorers: 14 – 18 years old

Location: We have 10 groups in the District, located in Market Harborough, Foxton, Medbourne, Kibworth, Fleckney and Great Glen. Each of the groups meet on different evenings during the week.

All groups are always happy to welcome new volunteers to join their teams, so if one age group, location or a certain weekday evening suits you better than another, just let us know and we can direct you to the best group for you.

Main Tasks: Delivery of a Balanced Programme:
Running games and activities as part of weekly section meetings and other section events.
Assisting young people to achieve badges and awards.
Assisting with residential experiences for the section.
Assisting the section with taking part in a varied, exciting and safe programme of activities.

Attend a welcome meeting with existing volunteers
Complete 5 online training modules within 5 months of starting your volunteer role.

It's expected that whilst volunteering for this role you will undertake regulated activity.
