About this role

Calling all melody makers! Volunteers needed to harmonise and spread joy!

Are you passionate about music and its power to bring people together? Join our choir volunteer team and let your voice be a force for positive change!

We have recently introduced a community singing element to our cafe session prior to the choir rehearsal which is proving very popular and gives them an opportunity for them to come together and enjoy a sing-a-long with a hot drink and cake.

The Choir runs each Monday during term time from 1pm-3pm and we are based at St Mary de Castro Church, Castle View, Leicester.  All volunteers arrive from 12.30pm and leave by 3.15pm.

We are looking for volunteers to provide:

  • a warm welcome
  • a listening ear in a supportive environment
  • support to our guests to enable them to fully engage in the choir
  • help with the provision of refreshments – hot drinks and cake
  • Each volunteer will be provided with a SoundCafe Fleece and ID badge.
