Trustees are a team of volunteers who see the big picture, make decisions, and work together to help Scouts run smoothly. They play a key part in Scouts, and keep an eye on our vision. They make sure young people have the best experience at Scouts, and check things are being done safely and legally.

About this role

Every Scout Group requires trustees, which form the Group Executive Committee/Trustee Board.

This committee/board watches over the admin of the Group. As well as a Chair, Secretary and Treasurer, each Executive welcomes people with specific skills. Most Group Executives meet three or four times a year.

As a trustee, you will be responsible, supportive and have the Scout Groups best interest at heart at all times. In return you’ll have the satisfaction of knowing that you’re helping us prepare so many more young people for the future.
