The Trustees of a Scout Group work closely with the Group Leaders to achieve the purpose of The Scout Association through the development of local scouting in accordance with our Policies, Organisation and Rules.

About this role

Location: We have 8 groups in the District which have their own Trustee Boards, the groups are located in Market Harborough, Foxton, Medbourne, Kibworth, Fleckney and Great Glen. The trustees aren’t obligated to attend the weekly group meetings, however it is helpful if they are fairly local to the group for the Trustee Meetings which are held in person, usually in an evening. These meetings are held approx once per term so this role is not a huge time commitment, but is vital to a successful Scout group.

Each Trustee Board needs a Chair, Treasurer and Secretary as well as general Trustee board members.

Complete 5 online training modules within 5 months of starting your volunteer role.

It's expected that whilst volunteering for this role you will undertake regulated activity.
