About this role
Role Outline: Schools Partnership Volunteer
Our Thriving and busy community cricket club is looking for volunteers to help us make contact and develop links with primary and secondary schools in the local community. We’re keen to bring young players into the club as we feel that our junior section is part of the building blocks for our future development.
The main role of the volunteer would be to establish a connection with local schools and, if possible, visit local schools and talk with groups of students to promote our junior cricket.
This role is flexible in that it doesn’t require volunteers to be based at the cricket club. It can be done from home apart from when visiting schools. It is also possible to attend online meetings.
Full support will be given in the early stages of the volunteer role with a view to more independent working in the medium to long term. We anticipate that this role will develop based on the volunteers that join us, so you will have an opportunity to help us shape this role going forward.
By volunteering with us we feel that we can offer you the opportunity to be part of a local sports club community, give you the opportunity to try new ideas, meet new people and make friends and to feel like you are making a difference!!
