About this role
We meet up once every month and spend half a day paddling up the river and picking up as much rubbish as we can in that time. We try to keep the river as clean as we can get it. We also look to clean the banks and tow paths too so we do welcome people who want to walk along side of the river as much as we welcome people to paddle.
Sometimes we literally pull out a truck load of rubbish in one go, which really makes you feel like you’re making a difference to the river environment.
It is also a good chance to go do some free canoeing along with meeting new people making new friends with like minded individuals.
There is a £3 charge, this is to cover expenses such as equipment and instructors looking after the group.
