About this role
Age UK Superstore on Counting House Road are looking for volunteer retail assistants to help on a variety of days and shifts.
Volunteers would be asked to rotate stock, serve on the till, assist customers to find specific items in the shop and keep the shop looking tidy.
The ability to use your own initiative and work unsupervised as requested is desirable. Training will be given for use of the till.

Requirements
General skills required are :
Serving customers at the till, cash handling and card payments
Assisting customers find specific items
Keeping stock displays replenished and organised
Maintaining vigilance to prevent thefts
Previous experience in a retail would be helpful but not essential as training will be given.
A friendly attitude with customers is essential
Willingness to familiarize yourself with the stock on offer, including vintage items and books desired
Ability to use your own initiative and work unsupervised as required
