We have a friendly team of staff who require the support of volunteers to assist with our new fortnightly wellbeing hub in Sileby, like getting to know and talking to attendees and serving refreshments for the session.

About this role

Responsibilities:

·       Serve food and drinks to members, including making drinks for the order.

·       Clean tables and tidy up as you go.

·       Welcome all café members to the centre and ensure you are up to date with current sessions to provide advice               about what we do.

·       Uphold good health and safety and hygiene standards.

Requirements

  • Willing to take a DBS Check
  • Age restrictions
  • Accepts ex/offenders

Available fortnightly on Thursdays (12:30pm - 3:30pm)
Personal Skills:
• Be friendly and approachable – be willing to engage with café members and provide a listening, empathic ear to any problems they want to talk about.
• To be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• To have a willingness to learn
• To be able to understand and follow procedures
• To have some experience in working with the public (either paid or voluntary).
• Demonstrate professionalism
• Show confidence when dealing with the public.
• To attend at least one session per week.
• Some experience with vulnerable people would be an advantage but not essential.
