About this role
Key Responsibilities:
Create a welcoming environment: Greet visitors, make them feel comfortable, and foster a sense of community within the café.
Provide one-on-one support: Offer individual one-on-one support to café clients who are experiencing mental health challenges
Action Plan: Develop an action plan with clients to support them with their issues
Referrals: Connect individuals with appropriate resources and services, such as mental health support providers, support groups, or community organisations that can benefit them
Facilitate group activities: Lead various activities and workshops designed to promote mental health and well-being, such as art therapy, mindfulness exercises, and support groups.
Community outreach: Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness of the café and its services.
Event planning: Assist in organising and co-ordinating special events and workshops related to mental health.

Requirements
- Relevant qualification or training
- References needed
- Willing to take a DBS Check
Qualifications and Skills:
• Experience working with individuals with mental health or other health challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Knowledge of Safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and Confidentiality/ GDPR
• Passion for mental health advocacy and community engagement.
