About this role
The Leicester Counselling Centre is looking to recruit qualified counsellors to join its clinical team, which currently comprises a large number of trainee counsellors. A shift in the complexity of client issues means that we recognise the need for greater experience within the team, in order to meet client need and to keep waiting times short. Applicants must be qualified to at least Diploma level 5 in counselling/psychotherapy and be registered with a regulatory body, for example BACP/UKCP.
Volunteers at the Centre benefit from a full induction, access to fully assessed clients, as well as full administrative and clinical support on site. An opportunity for some paid work is also possible, depending on the size of caseload taken, and can be discussed upon application. The Centre also offers a low cost CPD programme and opportunities to be a part of a supportive peer network.
