About this role
VAL is one of the delivery partners on the Multiply programme across Leicestershire, with a focus on supporting people in Blaby District and in Lutterworth Town.
As a Numeracy Peer Mentor, you will provide practical support to people who will be volunteering and developing numeracy skills for their personal budgeting and how to apply these skills in the workplace for their longer term employability.
You will be asked to work alongside our Development Officer who is working on the Multiply Project for Blaby District and Lutterworth, who will supervise and support your support of our participants. You don’t need to be an expert with numbers, but any experience would be welcome.
We will provide you with an initial meeting to give you an overview of the project and your role, before then matching you with participants to offer peer support.
Potential volunteers will be asked to complete an application form, in the first instance, and if suitable will be invited to an interview. We look forward to hearing from you!
