About this role
Our weekly newsletter, Inside Leicester, goes out every Monday at 6am. A group of dedicated volunteer writers guide our readers through the latest headlines, weather updates, events, independent food and drink, sports, and much more.
We are currently looking for people to become Newsletter Volunteers and ‘Citizen Reporters’ to do the following:
- Write a short-form report between 300-400 words (‘In Focus’ section)
- Find news and write summaries (‘In The News’ section)
- Discover quirky properties in Leicester and write a short summary (‘On The Market’ section)
We ask that all copy is sent to us by Sunday, 12pm each week.
Full training will be provided.
Due to the nature of news/newspapers and the timing of the newsletter, we need volunteers who can take part towards the end of the week.
