About this role
In an increasingly digitalised world, often the only way to access information and services is online whether that’s making a doctor’s appointment, completing a housing application, accessing benefits or finding the best money saving deals. For many this is difficult and overwhelming not least because they lack the digital skills and confidence.
Just ASK (Access to Services and Know-how) is a new initiative to help address this issue.
We are looking for volunteers with good digital skills and the confidence to help people accessing local community groups and hubs such as foodbanks, understand and navigate websites, apps and systems so that they can get the information and support they need and build their digital skills and know-how.
We welcome applicants who have language skills in languages that are commonly spoken in Leicester e.g. Urdu, Gujarati, Polish and Hindi. We also welcome applicants who have BSL skills too.
