About this role
We are actively recruiting enthusiastic volunteers to help young people thrive.
We have a wonderful group of 10-18 year olds looking to maximise their opportunities and gain life-changing skills and experiences. We offer amazing experiences on and off the water, but rely on volunteers to share this knowledge in a supporting environment which follows the ethos and culture of the modern Royal Navy.
No experience is required, as full training is provided, including National and International qualifications. Flexible volunteering options are available, for both uniformed and non-uniformed instructors.
Examples of what you could do:
Classroom and practical courses on; Computer & information systems, catering, drill, first aid, marine engineering, physical training, seamanship skills, adventure training, music or shooting. Supporting Duke of Edinburgh scheme, inshore boating (power boating, sailing), paddlesports (kayaking, paddle boarding), offshore boating.
We don’t expect you to come with these skills. Full training and qualifications are provided. Passion to share knowledge and see young people grow and develop, applying those skills, is all that is required.
