About this role
As a hairdressing volunteer you would work as part of a team who offer basic hairdressing services such as washing and styling patients’ hair. This makes a real difference to our patients’ well-being, especially for those who are unable to wash their own hair.
We need people who are compassionate, good with people and interested in enhancing our patients’ well-being. It would be useful if you have an interest in hairdressing. We would love to hear from people who have hairdressing/barbering qualifications too but this is not an essential requirement as training will be provided.

Requirements
- References needed
- Willing to take a DBS Check
- Age restrictions
We are looking for people who:
1. Can commit to a minimum of one volunteering session per week for 12 weeks
2. Have good communication skills and an interest in helping others
3. Are happy to complete online training
4. Are happy to wear a face mask whilst volunteering
5. Are aged 17 and over
6. Are available to volunteer at Leicester Royal Infirmary
