We're looking for friendly volunteers in the Oadby and Wigston area who can choose and select books from the library for people who can no longer access our services, based on their likes and interests, before delivering them to their homes.

About this role

We’re looking for friendly volunteers who can deliver books to people’s homes who are unable to access our Libraries.

As a Home Library Service volunteer you will:
– Choose and select books from the library, based on client’s likes and interests
-Deliver them at a mutually convenient time, collecting and returning the books once the client has finished with them
– Stay for a friendly chat, for those clients who would also like a befriending service
– Champion the libraries digital offer when appropriate
