About this role
Our objective is to preserve and restore the Melton Navigation. We are at the moment preparing to launch rowing boats hire by building a pontoon, restoring a ticket office and river clearance.
We want to maximise the social, economic, environmental and leisure opportunities. We are always on the lookout for volunteers at weekends, mainly on Sunday. Look at our Facebook page “Melton and Oakham Waterways Society”, to see when we need work parties.

You have to be fairly fit, but our present volunteers are mainly in their seventies!
