About this role
Time Commitment & Availability

What will I need to do?
Our garden volunteers play a vital role in transforming our hospice grounds into a vibrant and
welcoming haven where our families and children can play and make special memories. Dive
into a range of exciting tasks spread across our award-winning gardens, making sure that
everyone can enjoy a safe and welcoming outdoor area. Celebrate your accomplishments
with a well-earned tea break with new friends. Join us and let your green thumb make a real
impact!
Typical tasks the role could involve:
- Green-Fingered Guru: As the seasons change, take advantage of your skills to cultivate
new plants, trim and prune small shrubs, and observe your hard work. - Master of Tools: Command an array of equipment—from shearers to spades and rakes—
like a seasoned pro, transforming the landscape with each stroke. - Battle of the Weeds: Battle unruly weeds, reclaiming the garden from their invasive grip
and restoring order to the grounds. - Nourish and Flourish: Care for our botanical treasures, watering and tending to their
health to ensure they thrive in their lush surroundings. - Transformative Touch: Sweep away debris and unveil the hidden beauty of our gardens,
leaving behind an enchanting landscape that beckons all who pass. - Team Triumphs: Collaborate with others in creating new layouts for new plant additions or
preparing for an event. Teamwork makes the dream work!
