About this role
We are constantly seeking new sources of income, to make sure the people of Charnwood can get the help they need, particularly those on low incomes. Our service is free to everyone, so it is essential to maintain an income that will allow us to be operational for years to come.
The board meets every two months, and performs a critical role in supporting the management team and determining the future path of the charity. You will be involved in management and planning decisions, as well as in fundraising. Meetings are currently held remotely using Zoom, however, you may occasionally be required to meet face to face, for example when we hold our AGM.
Our priority is to find someone with some fundraising experience, and an interest in seeking funds and organising activities that will generate income. You don’t need to have management and strategic planning experience, but if you have that would be great. If you don’t, then this would be an opportunity for you to develop those skills. You will be supported by other members of the board and the management team through the first few months. This is a great opportunity to help make a difference to so many people who find themselves in difficult positions in their lives.
