About this role
We are looking for dynamic, creative and innovative Visitor Experience Volunteers who have an ambition to deliver new Canal and River Trust activities and initiatives that welcome and engage the thousands of visitors that visit Foxton Locks each year. From storytelling to leading tours or helping in our Welcome Station, to helping create and deliver our hands-on activity programme this is a varied and flexible customer-facing role for those who enjoy meeting new people and have a friendly can-do attitude.
This role will predominantly focus on –
• A warm Visitor Welcome- answering questions, signposting across the site, presentation and cleanliness of facilities
• Exceptional Visitor experience – developing and leading tours, trails and activities for a range of audiences across the site
• Engaging and liaising with visitors on a range of issues
• Observing and highlighting safety issues throughout the site if they are spotted or reported to the volunteer
