Volunteer Call Out: The Spark Festival 2024
Volunteer for the 21st Spark Festival taking place between 18th-25th May 2024.
Get Involved and volunteer for a variety of roles at our incredible events taking place for families.
The Spark Festival makes a big impact for children and families in Leicester. Across 7 Days there will be 34 Performances, 2 Exhibitions, 15 chances to Give it a Go!
Thousands of children will experience the festival and many of our events are free to attend.
We are offering 2 types of volunteer opportunities during the festival:
Event Volunteer opportunities
Event volunteers help the smooth running of our events, support artists, run the welcome desk and help families and audiences through their festival experience at the different venues. Event Volunteer opportunities are available at the following events:
Saturday 18th May: Takeover at Leicester Museum and Gallery
Saturday 18th May: Takeover at DMU
Saturday 18th May: We Know Best at DMU
Saturday 25th May: Saturday Sessions at Soft Touch
Participatory & Workshop assistant volunteer opportunities
Participatory and Workshop volunteers support artists and get involved in the delivery of creative workshops to support children and families participate. Participatory and Workshop Volunteer opportunities are available at the following events:

What’s next?
We will be kick starting our training programme on Thursday 25 April at our team briefing meeting discussing all things about the Spark festival and giving volunteers an insight into our festival planning. Make sure to register below if you would like to attend
