About the organisation:

Established in 2007, 2Funky Arts (2FA) is a social enterprise, dedicated to advancing and celebrating arts and music of black origin. Our projects work instinctively to stir emotion, provoke debate, nurture collaborations, and push boundaries across sub-genres.

Full Details:

Leicester Mela Festival returns to Abbey Park and the celebrations are set to be bigger than ever, running over 2 days.

Dates: 15-16 August 2026

To help with the celebrations, we are looking for an enthusiastic team of volunteers to help, as well as get invaluable experience in festival organisation.

Volunteers must be 18+
No prior experience is needed.

There will be opportunities for volunteering in:
– Back Stage Management (Must Have A DBS)
– Helping with arts activities
– Ushering
– Events set-up and breakdown
– Photographers/videographers
– Social media
– Directing attendees and providing information
– Festival runners
– Clean up duties
and more!

Please note this is an unpaid opportunity, however, we will provide all volunteers with a meal and a reference for their CV.
