About this role
Having been accepted onto the project, volunteers will be asked to undertake the following tasks:
- To create a positive environment for parents to attend the Parent’s group and feel comfortable, safe and supported.
- To assist, support and motivate parents to promote their wellbeing.
- Explore the importance and best practice around trust, boundaries and communication.
- To signpost parents to appropriate services, to liaise with Children and Family Wellbeing staff if further support and advice is needed.
- To commit to leading/supporting the group for up to one year.

Requirements
- References needed
- Willing to take a DBS Check
- Age restrictions
- Accepts ex/offenders
Driving Licence useful but not always essential.
Full DBS check will be carried out.
Minimum of 2 references required
Full comprehensive training will be provided - our training runs twice a year (February and September).
Volunteers must be aged 18 years or over
Ex/offenders can be accepted in accordance with the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. Volunteers must be free of Statutory supervision for a minimum of 2 years prior to application.
