About this role
Work with the Environmental Team at Groundwork Five Counties and other volunteers to implement practical conservation and environmental renewal projects in Snibston Colliery Park. This will involve delivering all aspects of practical, site-based improvement works, whilst developing practical and soft skills, and learning about environmental sustainability.
MAIN DUTIES
- Undertake site-based conservation and environmental improvement activities across a range of urban green spaces
- Work as part of the Green Team – working closely with colleagues and volunteers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to a high quality
- Work in a co-operative and professional manner with Groundwork staff and community volunteers
- Ensure work equipment, tools and vehicles are maintained regularly in accordance with Trust guidelines
- Adhere to written risk assessments and verbal instruction for each job or as site conditions change
- Help to generate new ideas to improve the running of the Green Team Volunteers
- Undertake other responsibilities that may be reasonably requested by the Environment Team Trainer
- To contribute positively as part of a delivery team to deliver objectives and ensure good morale and working relations are maintained.
