About this role

This is an exciting opportunity to join us in delivering new Community Woodland / Orchard sites within the borders of the National Forest.

The Oaks in Charnwood site at St. James the Greater Church is a new venture where volunteers will be able to work with us to plant, manage and maintain a new Community Woodland space.

Joining a newly formed Volunteer Group at St. James the Greater Church you will receive training and guidance re how to manage and maintain the space for years to come. Gaining new skills and mentors and welcomed to join the Community Woodland Network where support can be accessed via the NFC in the future once the project is completed.

As a potential volunteer NO EXPERIENCE or qualifications are required as training will be provided re woodland management and maintenance skills via a tailored program provided within the project.

Requirements

This is an opportunity to join a newly formed Community Volunteer Group at St. James the Greater Church, Oaks in Charnwood - there are no skills or qualification requirements to join, just a willingness to help and join like-minded people in a worthwhile community ecological venture.

Those wishing to join will be initially sent new engagement activities which will be organised and delivered either in person or virtually.
