Charity and Coffee Shop Customer Service Assistant

About this role

Purpose of the Role:

We have a super friendly team of staff who require the support of volunteers to assist with varying tasks within our Charity Shop, such as working on the till and providing excellent customer service to our customers, helping with shop and window displays, working with our Donations Centre to replenish stock and taking Coffee Shop orders and assisting cleaning tables.
Each shift is filled with smiles, and working alongside other volunteers and our team of staff.

1.      Deliver and maintain a high standard of customer service and care.

2.      Serve at the counter and handle till payments.

3.      Display and merchandise donations within the shop and window.

4.      Stock rotations to ensure a fresh look within the shop.

5.      Comply with Health and Safety legislation.

6.    Follow, adopt and demonstrate Menphys Values.

7.      Represent Menphys in a professional and caring manner.

8.      Identify visitors’ needs and assist with offering a solution.

9.      Assist within the Coffee Shop area – maintain the public areas – cleaning tables, seating and floor to ensure these are kept to a high standard of cleanliness.

10. Light Cleaning duties.

Personal Skills:

5.      To be able to follow procedures.

6.    To have some experience in customer service or in a shop environment.

7.      Demonstrate professionalism.
