About this role
Key Tasks will involve:
You do not need any previous experience as all training will be given but an interest in boating and the canals is an obvious advantage. You decide when you volunteer as you self-select the trips you wish to crew on. During our season April to October we run a seven day a week service.
You will learn new skills and every trip is different so you will not have time to get bored! You do not have to stick to one crew rile or day and you can perform a variety of tasks & roles once you are trained including passenger care – ensuring our passengers get off and on our boats in a safe manner, serving refreshments, answering passengers’ queries. As well as Lock Management and Mooring. As you gain experience, we also have more advanced volunteering roles available including Helmsman and Skippering
