About this role
Responsibilities:
· First point of contact for visitors, providing a helpful, welcoming and friendly greeting.
· Talk to visitors about the art sessions we have and any additional exhibitions or activities.
· Assist in our creative café session with café members, talk to them about their work and assist them in anything they may require.
· On some occasions, set up tea, coffee and biscuits for the sessions.
· Assist the Art Sessional Leaders with putting up exhibitions in our gallery space and preparing launch events for the work.

Requirements
- Willing to take a DBS Check
- Age restrictions
- Accepts ex/offenders
Personal Skills:
• Be friendly and approachable – be willing to engage with café members and provide a listening, empathic ear to any problems they want to talk about.
• To be able to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• To have a willingness to learn
• To be able to understand and follow procedures
• To have some experience in working with the public (either paid or voluntary).
• Demonstrate professionalism
• Show confidence when dealing with the public.
• To attend at least one session per week.
• Some experience with vulnerable people would be an advantage but not essential.
• An interest in art is an advantage but not essential.
