Admin Assistant (Volunteer)

Role Description:

We are looking for volunteers who are patient, empathetic and have a caring attitude and good at listening to the needs of service users. As a Volunteer Admin Assistant you will provide an efficient, courteous and responsive reception and telephone service to users.

Purpose of the role:

We Will:

Offer you training in Business Admin Level 2/ Customer Services Level 2/Information, Advice & Guidance Level 2/ Community Development Level 2.

Provide you with an opportunity to use your interpersonal and practical skills in a community setting.

You Will:

You will provide information, up-to-date publicity materials and advice on the range of services offered by the Centre.

You will carry out typing, word processing and data inputting duties as required.

Assist with arrangements for meetings, take minutes and keep notes

You will assist in the development and maintenance of effective administrative procedures and systems appropriate to the needs of Pakistan Youth and Community Association.

We offer courses Accredited & Non-accredited such as Functional Skills English Maths & ICT,  Security, Teaching, Food Safety in catering, First Aid at Work and Community Development, advice and support services to all BAME communities in the city.  Our general activities include youth services, an over 50’s coffee club, educational classes and employment support services. All these activities are offered in a space which is sympathetic to the needs of our community, and a sheltered environment that particularly young people and women can feel comfortable in.
