READ EASY LEICESTER & DISTRICT

Read Easy volunteer groups support local adults who want to learn to read or improve their reading skills, at their own pace and without pressure. The group provides trained Volunteer Reading Coaches to work on a confidential 1:1 basis to help adults learn to read.

  • Safeguarding Champion

    As the Safeguarding Champion you will ensure that the Leicester & District Read Easy group implements, understands and works within the Read Easy UK Safeguarding Policy and organise DBS checks when necessary.

  • Volunteer Reading Coach

    Opportunity by READ EASY LEICESTER & DISTRICT

    A Read Easy Volunteer Reading Coach will help an adult who has no or very few reading skills learn to read. Learning to read often enables an individual to grow in confidence and self-esteem, become more independent and improve their employment chances - in other words it can transform their life!

  • Coordinator

    Opportunity by READ EASY LEICESTER & DISTRICT

    The Coordinator is central to the running of each Read Easy group; it's often described as the best job in the Team! The Coordinator makes initial contact with anyone who wants to improve their basic reading skills, informally assesses them and pairs them up with a trained Volunteer Reading Coach.
