About this role
Warning Zone offers a voluntary role like no other.
We’re always on the lookout for new and enthusiastic volunteer guides to join our team and our vacancy for Volunteer Educators is open year round.
The role of a Volunteer Educator is to guide a small group of children around our ‘Safety Zones’ or ‘E Safety Zone’. Our volunteers help to save lives and reduce risks by delivering crucial safety messages to children who are at a particularly influential age.
Warning Zone is somewhere that you really have to come and see for yourself and the role of a Volunteer Educator is very rewarding.
Volunteering provides the opportunity to boost confidence and gain experience working with children and delivering to groups. It is invaluable to those who are considering a career in teaching, public services, criminology, prevention or community safety but the skills you develop can be applied to a range of different careers. Volunteering is also a great opportunity for those who would like to use their spare time in an impactful way. Our volunteers actively contribute to changing the perspective of future generations.
We provide a uniform, reimburse travel expenses, conduct free DBS checks (for Safety Zones only) and will also provide a reference for you to use in future employment.
