Do you have a few hours each week to take a vulnerable adult to their medical appointment? Or, could you take them for their weekly food shop?

The Royal Voluntary Service is a national charity built on local volunteering, giving support to people in need in the local community.
You’ll have good communication and listening skills, with a non-judgemental attitude towards an individual’s circumstances and a willingness to ensure confidentiality. All you need to do is tell us which day you’re available and we’ll match you to one of our requests. You could be helping to take someone to a GP or hospital appointment or just helping them around their local supermarket for their groceries.
This opportunity is designed to fit around your life so you could be available for one morning, one day, two days or not at all for that week. It’s your choice as to the level of commitment you want to give.
You will receive relevant training for your role and will be welcomed and supported by a friendly local team.
Our working hours are Monday to Friday 0900-1700 (excluding weekends) so this opportunity would not be outside of these times. Volunteer transport drivers are matched to clients in their local area so each volunteer decides how far they want to travel from their home postcode.
Our clients could be in any of the following areas: Blaby, Charnwood, Harborough, Hinckley, Leicester City, Melton, North West Leicester, Oadby, Wigston & Rutland.
