We are looking for an experienced hairdresser for our guests who attend the Hospice. Some equipment is provided and there is a designated salon room available for use.

About the organisation:

Dove Cottage Day Hospice offers day care services and support to families living with palliative and life-limiting conditions. We support around 100 families a week across Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire areas offering services including nursing care, dementia home-sitting, wellbeing activities, chaplaincy and bereavement support.

Full Details:

We are looking for an experienced hairdresser to provide a cutting, styling and blow dry service. We would ask you to wash, set and dry guests hair with great care and consideration.
We would be grateful for any time you are able to offer us. We ask for someone reliable so our guests are not let down. We are open Mondays to Thurdays 10-3pm.
We would aim to respond within a week of receiving the application.

When and Where:

The role is immediate. You would be based at our salon at the Hospice.

Specific Requirements or Restrictions

You need to be or have been a hairdresser. You must be comfortable with people and be willing to adapt yourself depending on each individual guest. We will contact you, in the first instance, for an informal chat to discuss the position. Thereafter, we would ask you to complete an application form and provide two referees before completing a DBS check and completing safeguard training.
