John Storer House Community Transport Service is a lifeline to so many people- so that they can get the care and support they need. Can you spend a few hours per week driving people in Charnwood to their appointments and activities. It is a great way to get out and have a chat with isolated people.

About this role

The Community Transport Service runs Monday to Friday 8am-4pm. Our busiest days are Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. We particularly need Drivers on Wednesdays at the moment. Drivers should be patient and caring.

Drivers should be able to assist customers with wheelchairs/walkers if needed.

John Storer House pay 45p per mile for fuel. There are no extra insurance costs for you.

Requirements

  • Access to a vehicle
  • Driving license
  • References needed
  • Willing to take a DBS Check
  • Age restrictions

Drivers need 2 years driving experience.

Drivers should have access to a car.

Drivers who are prepared to do Minibus training are greatly welcomed.
