What will I need to do?
Do you enjoy being on the road and getting involved with local community events? Then step into the driver’s seat and help play an important part in ensuring our fundraising events run smoothly. This is a practical role helping our Fundraising Team transport and set up equipment ready for the event.
At Rainbows, just 15% of our funding comes from the government. So, whether it’s a car show, bucket collection or village fete; our fundraising events are a vital way of raising the donations we need to ensure our nurses, therapists and family support teams can be there for the families who need us. Your support powers our events, and helps us brighten short lives.

Typical tasks the role could involve:
– Drive and Deliver: Dive into the action by helping load equipment into the vehicle at the hospice and safely delivering it to the event. This may require use of a Sat Nav which will be provided.
– Ultimate Unloader: Help set up the site ready for the event. This could include putting up branding, flags and marquees, laying out tables and helping set out collection buckets.
– Perfect Packer: Arrive after the event has finished, and help take down and pack away items, returning them back to the hospice ready to be used again.
– Logger of Information: Ensure regulatory compliance by diligently completing essential paperwork such as mileage logs and petrol card forms, proving that even the smallest details are handled with precision.

Will it suit me?
If you hold a full driving licence, are comfortable driving a small transit-style van and are unphased by travelling around the East Midlands; this flexible and practical role could be perfect for you. Embrace the open road as you become a vital part of our fundraising team, making a real difference with every mile driven!

When and Where:
