About this Opportunity

Overview:

You would use your own car to transport elderly and or disabled passengers who live in the Hinckley & Bosworth area.
You need to enjoy driving and be a caring and friendly person and over the age of 25 and have a clean driving licence.
We take passengers to health and hospital appointments, lunch and social clubs, shopping etc.
Our passengers are lovely and really appreciate all the help and support we give them, you would be contributing to your community.

We pay mileage expenses for all the mileage you do, from your home to pick up the person and return journey.

About the organisation:

We provide community transport for those who are elderly and or disabled in the Hinckley & Bosworth area. We use volunteer drivers using their own cars to transport passengers to essential shopping, health and hospital appointments, lunch and social groups, hairdressers etc.

Full Details:

Your car will need to roadworthy and have current tax, MOT and insurance.

You can do as much or as little as you like, from a few hours a week to every day. We work around when you are available.

You will need to have a DBS Check and inform your car insurer that you would be driving as a volunteer. Insurance will not be effected by being a volunteer driver, you do not need to have business insurance.

We hold a couple of events a year where all the volunteers get together and can meet everyone.

Over 25 Clean driving licence (speedy fines) not taken into consideration Need access to a roadworthy car Have a DBS Check We will require 2 references from someone you have know for over 3 years, not a relative though.
