We have the perfect volunteering opportunity available for a Foodshare and Pantry Distribution Assistant.

Braunstone Foodshare is our foodbank scheme, the purpose of which is to work towards alleviating food poverty in Braunstone. This is a means-tested, membership-based scheme available to people in need living in the LE3 1 postcode area. We have a long-term volunteering position available on a Wednesday, for a Foodshare and Pantry Distribution Assistant.

In order to undertake this role, you will be required to support the Foodshare team on a Foodbank day, assisting both members of the Foodshare and Pantry when they come in to collect their food.

Client confidentiality is a must, and applicants should have good communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to work within the community, providing help and assistance to some of the most vulnerable people in Braunstone.

You must be available on a Wednesday: to undertake this role and be able to provide a minimum of 2 hours volunteering per week.
